#735, August 25, 1933, National Stamp Exhibition Issue in
conjuction with the Byrd Anttarctic Expedition of 1933 and for use on letters
mailed through the Little America Post Office established at the base camp of
the Expedition in the territory of the South Pole. Depicted on each stamp is a
map of the world on van der Grinten's Projection. This Souvenir Sheet of 6
stamps was issued by the Treasury Department Bureau of Engraving and Printing
under the authority of James Farley, Postmaster General at the time. The sheets
were issued imperforate and without gum. Singles from this
