#733, August 9, 1933, Byrd Antarctic Issue. Issued in connection with the Byrd Anttarctic Expedition of 1933 and for use on letters mailed through the Little America Post Office established at the base camp of the Expedition in the territory of the South Pole. Depicted is a map of the world on van der Grinten's Projection. Also see special Farley printing #753.
#734, October 13, 1933, Kosciuszko Issue commemorating the Polish born soldier and statesman Tadeusz Kosciuszko, (1746-1807) who served in the American Revolution, on the 150th anniversary of the granting to him of American citizenship. Pictured is the statue of of General Tadeusz Kosciuszko.
