Issue honoring the 150th anniversary of the issuance by George Washington of the
official order containing the Proclamation of Peace marking officially the end
of hostilities in the War for Independence. Pictured is Washington Headquarters
at Newburgh, New York. Issued without gum. Also see original printing #727.
#753, March 15, 1935, Special Printing: Type of Byrd Antarctic
Issue. Issued in connection with the Byrd Antarctic Expedition of 1933 and for
use on letters mailed through the Little America Post Office established at the
base camp of the Expedition in the territory of the South Pole. Depicted is a
map of the world on van der Grinten's Projection. Issued without gum. Also see
